SIGNS OF LIFE....

....the loony and cantankerous weather in the bay area....

has been driving half of those i know including myself
on the brink of psychosis...

hikers on the Great Highway with Cliff house
in the backrgound

San Francisco
is beginning to look
like Seattle...
Apartments/Condos in the Ocean Beach area
the drizzle, light and heavy rains
with strong wind gusts characterized the
The windmill in Golden Gate park
everyday mood of nature in the
previous weeks...
bikers on the Great Highway
sure it solved the drought issue
but along NorCal's perimeter of
concerns came
mudslides, flooding and
dangers of dam failures...
one is reminded of scenes from
the disaster
movies in the 70s...

late Friday night
with my artistic mood loused up...
i had to frantically
send distress signals to a few friends
who were quick to come to the rescue...

One of them I'm afraid i may have
intruded into her observation of
shabat but was sweet
and quick to recognize the SOS
to make an exception
and be one of the First Responders...
...with a great sense of humor
she claims it was her thoughts and not
the weather that throws me off course...
With my musician/composer friend she'd cast her
magic over the weather without hesitation...
but only if she had the power...
a Florence Nightingale
from Chicago
cheers me up and makes sure
i've had my coffee and brunch
before I'd make excuses...
....
Beach hikers

the resilient ones calmly
went to the ocean beach area
for therapy....

during the first wave of storms
I had a chance to stroll and jog
over at Lands End
Lands End/Sutro ruins
...my
Polish friend reassuringly says,
"no bad weather can overrule the desire
to go for fun"...
so she went out for a
late Sunday afternoon bike ride...

a biker at the Conservatory of Flowers
Thursday and Friday offered a respite
to an otherwise new norm
in the weather...
we don't know when
the weather will normalize
the way we've known it...
A bagpiper at Union Square

I'm sure a return to normalcy
would kick the blues away
...it would be a welcome
idea to San Franciscans and
tourists alike...

c'est la vie...

A bientôt j'espère
