VALENCIA STREET

....we have a new member for SF PEBS....

say hello to Gaia from Berkeley....
Ramon and I met her on Saturday
as we  went
around the Mission district taking photos....
....she's from the land of romance, pasta and long hours
of siesta.... and
centuries of great art tradition....Italy...

we caught her smoking
 in the alley with
graffiti art ....
the mission district is a place to hang out
with people who don't have many hang ups...
it's now getting a little trendy...
many boutiques for vintage clothing and
DEMA haberdashery boutique
furnitures as well as bookstores and
cafes

for the "starving artists"...
and the "not so starving artists"....

i had my coffee at Bordersland
Bordersland cafe interior
Bordersland cafe exterior

the walls had artworks from local artists...

the cafe is also selling greeting/social cards...
Jem of Baguio PEBS has a similar idea...
and wanted to do a local version with
percentage of the sale going to children
charity...

hope you'd enjoy the district on this Saturday
afternoon....though vicariously through
my lenses...
i'm writing this blog while listening to...
 Charles Aznavour
and Shirley Bassey's background music of
"IF YOU GO AWAY"....

try having background music while reading
or writing and you'll have a productive day...

that's it for now folks!!!
