Haight is high!

....the Haight Street was closed off to traffic ....

for the weekend street fair ...

the three blocks running from Stanyan to Masonic
was filled with marijuana smell
and festive

with the
new generation
of hippies
and a bit over jubilant
 crowd enjoying food

 and music....

just coming from a plein air session at the
Marina green by
Fort Mason,  I
went to Goorin Bros Inc. for hats...
a hat maker company in SF since
1949 with earlier
beginnings in
Pensylvania.

 Jordy
Jordy
a psychology major who just
graduated at SF State University...
she's got my hat on
is a photographer on the side

the universal peace sign

Akari,

a fashion designing student
at the city college...
she just arrived from her vacation
in Osaka, Japan...

The street was billowing with smoke
emanating
from "burning rubber,"
a term for race car drivers
spinning the car wheels hard enough to
create friction between the wheels
and the concrete...

There is the usual barbecue
and burger and other kinds
of ethnic food for people to
satisfy their fill ...

 wound up the day
at Crepes on Cole...
the place was half empty

quiet enough for
a Sunday.

that's all folks!
