humidity. Those inside the air conditioned offices and malls
don't seem to mind this terrible temperature that will fry an
egg outdoors without fire.
In New York, San Francisco and other cities in America this
would be a good day to go to the beach or a nearby
park like golden gate for picnic and sunbathing. Some sailing
is also in order for those across the golden gate bridge.
Hello Sausalitoans, are you out there!!
This is also a good day to go out and buy artworks in the city
and in the Sausalito galleries. There are cool galleries like the Studio
gallery on Polk st which has an up coming exhibit "Delicious",
of affordable artworks focused on foods. Go check it out during the
reception night on the 17th of March and enjoy Napa cabernet
and biscuits STUDIO_Gallery@mail.vresp.com
Meanwhile back in the Islands, Ida Flores has an exhibit
on the 21st at the Mega Mall. I haven't seen the artworks
yet but I will update and show you a picture or two
whenever possible.
There is this coming weekend a community art show in Salcedo Village
Makati called Art at the Park. Again this exhibit is semi charity, that is
20% of the proceeds go to charitable organizations 30% to the gallery
and 50% to the artist. Las Islas gallery (galeriadelasislas@yahoo.com)
one of the organizers is confident artworks will sell like "bibingkas"
for they're priced out reasonably for the new generation of art collectors.
The artworks are varied from modern abstracts to still life to figurative
and nudes. Way to go folks. Enjoy them on your walls and when it's
time to unload them for others to enjoy you can always take them
to Gerome Gallery Auction.
