Painting is an artistic way...
of expression but also serves as therapy to some
people
this is the backyard of Jennifer's parents home
the tree fell after a strong storm and before it
was taken out of the way Jennifer had
a chance to do a painting ......
...she'll probably be off to the Art Center
in Pasadena next year
...generations after generations of artists even wannabes
have enjoyed this at one point as a hobby...
some art institutions even promoted it as a profitable
hobby...case in point check out this advertising
in the war years of the 40's
it's the ad with Hitler cartoon drawing
Winston Churchill did a lot of paintings ...i'm not sure if it was
as a hobby to give him therapy ..we know Adolph was a bit
a pain in the butt ...and probably drove Winston to the edge...
...but anyway he's got a body of work
worth seeing not only because he's the great Sir Winston but
because he's got an artistic sense...
i thought it would perhaps be nice to bring up
that generation...from what i gathered from my
library collection... you see...i have art books written
and published in the early part of the 20th century
...and it never fails to amaze me whenever i get a chance to
take a browse of these reading materials
That generation was affluent with
sensible ideas...they've got something worth
learning about...worth our time...
when you have time check out the library archives
in your local area or perhaps go online...
that's all for now...
gotta take my dinner...it's tough to argue
on an empty belly...
