THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING!
INTERESTING thing happened to me on the
way to the museum
....the morning chapter continues through the midday
very nicely at the de young museum. .it's Tuesday and the
first Tuesday of the month means free admission to all the museums
in the city
for culture enrichment and appreciation...
for
everyone...
to enjoy life in an epicurean tidbit
.I said earlier ...the day could prove
really very interesting..
Listening to the russian gypsy music, " Two guitars and Dark Eyes"
got it all going...it's the magic of music.
And what do you know, I met Ksenia Bubukina,
a pianist, oboe and recorder player and a R u s s i a n.
While checking out the Ash Can group and American
Impressionists gallery
I saw her copying a George Bellows
figure painting ....
So I took a few candid shots of her without
disturbing her focus on her work.
Then approached and joined her at the bench
where we had a kindred chat. We hit it
without an anxiety barrier...
She said it's her dream to be an artist and so she started
sketching in the museum 2 months ago...
She did a self portrait ...
it's linear work but not too shabby...
She'll join the SFPEBS session for the month...
Today is Thursday.... I'm figuring out to go to
Valencia St and see what's going on in that
part of the jungle...
That will do for now folks!
I'm gonna run and get my fix ... after all it's a sunny day
one never knows when this will last...
I'll be in touch so you be in touch...
